How to Repurpose your Rife Paper Co. Calendar

I have been holding on to my 2017 Rifle Paper Co. Calendar forever, hoping to find some time to do something fun with it. The gorgeous designs were just too lovely to throw away. Well, today was the day! It really was a quick and easy project, and I was thrilled to find multiple ways to repurpose the floral pages. Watch my video below for the details, and let me know in the comments if you decide to go for it!

Loving how my little DIY projects turned out! Make sure you save your calendars, and if you’ve already thrown yours away, you’ve got a fun project for next year!

Last Minute Thanksgiving Decor Tour

Ok, so I know I should be showing you my Christmas home decor tour right now, but let's be honest, I barely got this done before my guests arrived! It’s been almost impossible this past year to keep up with decorating my home for the holidays with so much time being spent at the store. Is it just me, or did this year go by so quickly? Even though my home decor has been lacking, I have thoroughly enjoyed decorating my sweet customers' homes and the shop with new finds! I was only able to do a little decor the night before Thanksgiving, and sadly I did not decorate to the scale I would have liked. And, I did not have time to decorate my mantle as I normally would have. I chose to concentrate instead on the entry way, dining table, and buffet areas. The dining table was my favorite! I layered silks, cotton, berries, pinecones and fresh flowers down the center of the table with tons of votives. Candlelight makes every gathering a little more special...when I can remember to light them! The icing on the cake was the vintage amber glass turkey my mother gave me years ago when I hosted my first Thanksgiving at our home in Tyler, and my collection of vintage Thanksgiving postcards. Everyone enjoyed the reading the postcards and marveled at the dates they were sent! We were blessed to host both families at our home and I really wanted things to be special. I wish I could enjoy the colors and scents of fall a little longer, but it's on to Christmas we go in a flash lol! I thought I would share a few photos before I transition to Christmas decor. Hopefully, I will be decorating sooner than the night before!

Vintage Farmhouse Baby Shower

This weekend we were thrilled to help a dear friend and neighbor with some sweet Vintage Farmhouse decor for her daughter's baby shower. Here's a little video with some of my favorite decor highlights. Do you spy any Fox & Fig goodies?

Farmhouse Kitchen Essentials

One of my favorite spots in my home to shop for and decorate is my Kitchen. I have always felt that the kitchen is the heart of the home, and where everyone always seems to gather. I know in our home, it seems like we spend most of our time in there! Some of my most cherished memories growing up are those of my mother cooking and baking in our kitchen, and her kitchen is still the BEST place on earth to be at lunch or dinner time!

I LOVE vintage and farmhouse in the kitchen! I have vintage jello molds, embroidery, and a very old wooden cabbage cutter hanging on the walls. I love accenting with vintage jadeite, stoneware and yellowware mixing bowls, old scales, floral tea tins and canisters, cook books and I could go on and on!! I feel like my kitchen tells a story, and it's fun knowing that these items had a life before me! The nostalgia of both styles creates such a warm and comforting space to cook, bake and spend time with family and friends. Right now there is so much AMAZING Farmhouse and vintage style decor in stores and online that it can sometimes be overwhelming! I find myself scrolling through Pinterest for hours and realizing that I have gotten so off track from what I started searching for that I can't even remember what it was! If you are looking to add some vintage style and Farmhouse Flair to your kitchen, then today's blog is for you! I am sharing my favorite Essential Farmhouse Kitchen Decor, and I have attached direct links to our online shop for you to grab them, just click the product name! So, get cozy and pour a yummy cup of coffee or tea and get ready to browse!

I love decor that is functional and looks great at the same time. Counter space has always been an issue for me, and I love finding things to decorate with that serve a purpose for storage or use, and can still be used as a part of my decor plan. The following products check all the boxes for function, use, and style.

Enamelware Bread Box

Farm Fresh Recipes from the Missing Goat Farm

Little Grocery Scale Clock

Jadeite Cake Stand

Decorating with Boxwood Wreaths

Our preserved boxwood wreaths are one of my favorite decor items we carry in our shop. They are a very versatile accent piece that can be used to add color and dimension....And, they smell amazing! Our customers are always looking for fun and different ways to use and display them in their homes, so I decided to put together some inspiration from the wonderful world of Pinterest.

You can purchase both sizes of our Preserved Boxwood Wreaths here:
